- There's a segment during "A Bag of Weed" where the lyrics are displayed on the screen and a white dot bounces on the lyrics. This is a callback to the old 1930's Fleischer Brothers Screen Songs cartoons which invited viewers to sing along with a popular song of the time by "following the bouncing ball."[1]
- When Meg reminds Brian about the anti-drug commercials, it is referring a series of modern anti-drug commercials and the common theme of the drug user neglecting or not being able to do something with depressing music in the background.[2]
