Bud Swanson is Joe Swanson's father. When the guys try to reunite the two in "Papa Has A Rollin' Son", Joe reveals that their estrangement comes from Bud's dislike of disabled people. To help Joe out, Peter volunteers to pose as Joe. Eventually, Joe had enough and then confessed to his father about him being disabled. In the end, Bud apologizes to his son and the two made amends with Each other.
Bud is voiced by Ed O'Neill.
