Cap’n Crunch is the mascot of a line of sweetened corn and oat breakfast cereals manufactured by Quaker Oats Company, originally introduced in 1963.
In "Let's Go to the Hop", he is seen as a member of The Breakfast Club with the Trix Rabbit, Tony the Tiger, Lucky the Leprechaun and Toucan Sam.
In "Wasted Talent", Crunch is speaking to the Don from “There's Something About Paulie”, requesting a hit on Count Chocula in retaliation for claims stating that Cap’n Crunch cuts the roof of people’s mouths. [1]
In "To Love and Die in Dixie", Peter mentions that there is a Crunch Berry under the refrigerator of the Griffins' house in Bumblescum, Alabama, referring to Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries, a spin-off cereal.
Peter is accused of being drunk in "Start Me Up" because of slurring his words. He manages to escape a drunk driving charge when he alleges that his mouth was cut by Captain Crunch cereal.
