Charles Peete "Charlie" Rose, Jr. (born January 5, 1942) is an American television talk show host and journalist. Since 1991, he has hosted Charlie Rose, an interview show distributed nationally by PBS. Rose has also co-anchored CBS This Morning and occasionally substitutes for the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley.

Peter compares Tom Tucker's fall to that of Charlie Rose in "The New Adventures of Old Tom", setting up a cutaway in which Charlie changes the news program that he is featured in to focus on sobering up by sleeping, to the surprise of his co-host.
