Dan Povenmire was a member of the production team for Family Guy, who left the show at the end of its fifth season to pursue his own show Phineas and Ferb.
He was an illustrations director for the show for its first four seasons and was notably responsible for all the music related sequences.
He worked on other shows such as The Simpsons, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold!, The Angry Beavers, CatDog and SpongeBob SquarePants.
He is also Rhythm Guitarist and vocalist for the LA-based rock band "Keep Left".
He is particularly known for directing the first three "Road to..." episodes of Family Guy, which were "Road to Rhode Island", "Road to Europe", and "Road to Rupert". As director of the latter and of "The Camping Episode" of SpongeBob SquarePants, he owned rights to or had the connections in order to obtain the original audio of the "Campfire Song Song", which played on Peter Griffin's DVD.
