This is the Family Guy Wiki (FGW) Episode Guide. The show premiered on January 31, 1999 and originally ended on February 14, 2002. After the overwhelming success of DVD sales and cable ratings on Adult Swim, FOX decided to revive the program, and it began airing again on May 1, 2005.

A direct to DVD movie, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, was also released and it was later re-edited for television and aired as three episodes: Stewie B. Goode, Bango Was His Name Oh!, and Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure.

Out of a job, Peter decides to follow his life-long dream of becoming a knight with the traveling Renaissance Fair, but when he is caught in a compromising position with the infamous Black Knight's wench, Maid Madeline, he must defend his family's reputation in an old-fashioned duel.

When Peter decides to become a fisherman, he takes out a large loan to buy a fishing boat and unwittingly gives up everything he owns as collateral. Faced with losing the family home, Peter resorts to desperate measures to get the money and hunts down a famous man-eating fish for the reward money. Meanwhile, Lois and Meg hit the beach for Spring Break.

But after Peter accepts the bribe, he makes a harsh realization.

Peter spikes Joe's drink with steroids and he goes on to win the gold medal and fame. Meanwhile, Stewie, Meg and Brian fight over a money clip and $26.

When Peter accidentally gives all of the family presents away, the family has to go the mall for last minute gifts on Christmas Eve, while Brian, who stays home, gets caught in a sticky mess with the Christmas tree and burns Lois' dinner. When the Griffins come home to the mess, nobody is prepared when Lois goes crazy and loses her Christmas cheer.

When Brian finds the dating scene unbearable, he drowns his loneliness in alcohol and gets arrested for drunk driving. After meeting Max, Peter decides Chris could be successful if he converted to Judaism as soon as possible, but the plans for a "quickie" bar mitzvah in Las Vegas are quickly foiled by Lois.

When Meg asks a cute boy at school on a date and he turns her down, she looks to her family for support. In an effort to cheer her up, Lois takes Meg to the mall, where she gets the ultimate makeover. Meanwhile, Peter tries to start a band with the guys, but it's Meg's new look that has the record producers singing their praises. So the Griffins form a traveling family band that takes them all the way to New York to perform on "Saturday Night Live".

When Peter hears screams coming from Cleveland and Loretta's house, he tries to help but discovers Loretta in a compromising position. Meanwhile, Stewie, Chris and Meg have all inherited Quagmire's charming characteristics.

Season 6: 2007-2008

FOX celebrated the 100th episode episode as "Stewie Kills Lois", although the three episodes that made up the DVD movie weren't included in their "official" count. They also counted the hour long episode Blue Harvest count as two individual episodes, explaining the differing episodes for the 100th show. The Writer's Strike is the reason the season has a shortened episode count.

Season 8: 2009-2010

Episodes listed by production numbers. Airing order subject to change. Season 8 premiered on September 27, 2009. The episode "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side" the sequel to Blue Harvest is set for May 16th, 2010[6]. Upcoming episodes for this season will include the third guest appearance by James Woods. One episode will just be Stewie and Brian locked in a room together for an entire episode with no cut-aways, flashbacks or props. Another plot has Meg exploring her sexuality. On the special Creating the Chaos other plot lines are revealed such as Lois stealing one of Meg's boyfriends.[7] There will also be an episode with Lois having an abortion;[8] however, this episode has been deemed too offensive to be broadcast on TV (FOX), and will be released direct-to-DVD.[9]

The ninth season is set to premiere in Fall of 2010 with a one hour "whodunit" murder mystery.[14] Starting from this season, series veterans Steve Callaghan and Mark Hentemann have been promoted to executive producers and named Show runners.[14]. Also, this season marks the first time Family Guy will air in 16:9 and will have a slightly redone main title sequence.[15][16]This season will include Halloween and Christmas special episodes [17][18] Episodes listed by production numbers.   1. The TV broadcast season consisted of 30 episodes, only 27 were included on volume 3 and 4, with the tv versions of the movie being left off. Currently if you want the entire collection 4th season episodes you will need to have Volume 3, Volume 4, and the movie. It is unknown if the TV versions will be included on a future volume release
  2. Originally unaired by FOX, this last episode first aired on Adult Swim on November 9, 2003 [1]. FOX eventually aired this episode on December 10, 2004 (familyguy.com guide). It was included on the Season 2 DVDs in the UK and Australia, and eventually included on the Season 3 DVD in the US. (Callaghan, Steve (2005) confirms both dates)
