Fortnite is a massive online multiplayer third-person shooter video game developed and published by Epic Games in 2017. In the game's signature Battle Royale mode, 100 players are dropped onto an island, and have to fight to be the last one standing. In addition to defeating others playing the game, players can also build structures to help with their survival. Additional modes include a story campaign titled Save the World and a creative mode.

In "Start Me Up", Stewie watches other people at the electronics store play Fortnite because he is not old enough to play it.

When Joe announces the death of Meg in "Better Off Meg", he mentions that he leveled up in the game and tells Lois that she only cares about Meg.

During the Game of Thrones segment in "HBO-No", Peter mentions the game in conversation with Joe, but he responds by saying that he has been playing Overwatch.

In "Bend or Blockbuster", Chris' happy place includes him closing his eyes shut, pretending to play the game and responding to insults from children.

Official Collaboration

In Chapter 5, Peter Griffin appears as a playable character with a modified muscular appearance as part of the Season 1 Battle Pass. In addition, "Surfin' Bird" is referenced as an Emote, Brian appears as a Back Bling, and the Petercopter is a glider.[1]

An animated short in the style of the show explains Peter's new muscular physique and how he got into the game. In it, Peter fails a physical by Meowscles for being weak, seeking fitness advice from him. He offers Peter guides on how to get swole, for which he refuses. He then gives him expired Slurp Juice, in which he accepts, changing into his muscular form as seen in the game in an instant. A rift then appears in which Meowscles sends him to, transitioning from the show's art style to Fortnite gameplay. Peter then falls to the island but is saved by the Petercopter.[2]
