George Hosato Takei is a Japanese American actor, best known for his role in the television series Star Trek, in which he played Hikaru Sulu, helmsman of the USS Enterprise. In 2005, Takei revealed in an issue of Frontiers magazine that he is gay and has been in a committed relationship with his partner, Brad Altman, for the last eighteen years.
In "Stewie Loves Lois", he is seen several times as Mr. Sulu, showing an interest in other men including Peter Griffin, saying "Hell-o" in a suggestive manner.
In "Airport '07", he is part of the bridge crew when Glenn Quagmire is seen working at the Starship Enterprise asking Kirk to introduce him to Uhura.
In "Extra Large Medium", he puts the lottery numbers up on the screen.
In "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side", he appears when Princess Leia, played by Lois Griffin suggests she'd rather kiss Takei than Han Solo, played by Peter Griffin.
Brian notes that the prostitutes frequenting his and Stewie's bed and breakfast are more obvious than when Takei was still in the closet in "The Peter Principal", setting up a cutaway of George doing a poor job of pretending to be straight.
When Quagmire starts stripping with the guys witnessing it in "American Gigg-olo", Peter says "Oh, my" in the style that has become George Takei's catch phrase.
Peter retweets George after he becomes a millennial in "HTTPete".
George Takei is voiced by Seth MacFarlane.
