Gonzo is an eighty-year-old parrot whom Peter adopts in "The Bird Reich".
After learning of his workplace's new bereavement leave policy, Peter decides to take in an old pet so he can take six weeks off, but despite growing attached to him, he soon discovers that Gonzo used to belong to Hitler, making him a Nazi by association. Lois ends up calling Animal Control, forcing Peter to flee to Rabbi Goldstein for advice. While consulting the Torah for guidance, Gonzo is able to recite some of its words, revealing himself to be a Jew who only pretended to be a Nazi to survive the Holocaust. Peter and Rabbi Goldstein celebrate the revelation with some matzo, but Gonzo chokes on his piece and passes away. He is later given a funeral in the Griffins' bathroom, only for the toilet to overflow after his corpse is flushed.
