- In a callback to Joe's legs being destroyed in every story in "Three Kings", Brian meets his demise in all three stories here. In addition, Brian would break the fourth wall in the next two stories by mentioning his death in the previous story right before getting killed.
- As Jay Gatsby, Brian is shot by George Wilson (Joe) at the pool.
- As a pig, Brian is stabbed to death by a pig by Huckleberry Finn (Peter) in an attempt to fake his death.
- As a puppy, Brian is squeezed to death by Lenny (Chris).
- Def Leppard's "Photograph" plays while Tom (Peter) is having sex with Myrtle (Bonnie).
