Ivan is a Russian hacker who hijacks Brian's Instagram account in "From Russia With Love".
After applying for verification and giving up his credit card information, Brian discovers that he has been hacked, with Meg confirming that the hacker is based in Chelyabinsk, Russia. The two head there to confront him alongside Stewie, where Ivan reveals that he has lived a rough life and only hacked Brian's account so he could feel like he was living a good, American life, and agrees to undo his actions. During their stay, however, Ivan also starts to fall for Meg, even making love to her later, and convinces her to stay due to how beautiful she is considered in Russian society.
In "Adult Education", Ivan and Meg adjust to their new life together, but Ivan decides to propose after a health scare involving a poison dart, fearing that he might risk losing her again. After the two are wed, Ivan cheers Meg up by offering a trip to America to see her family, but after seeing her off to call them with his phone, he is overheard gloating about tricking Meg into a green card marriage so he could escape Russia. As payback, Meg uses his phone to send out multiple Tweets criticizing the Russian way of life, resulting in him getting darted to death.
