Matthew David McConaughey (born November 4, 1969) is an American actor. After a series of minor roles in the early 1990s, McConaughey gained notice for his breakout role in Dazed and Confused (1993). McConaughey is best known for his performances as a leading man in many romantic comedies.
He first appeared in "You May Now Kiss the...Uh...Guy Who Receives, where Stewie Griffin, posing as an air traffic controller learns that he is on a plane heading to Quahog. Stewie misleads the pilot, causing McConaughey's plane to crash into the ocean. He later shows up at the Griffin's home where Stewie promptly shoots him through the eye with a crossbow. Stewie instructs his older brother Chris to help bury him.
McConaughey appears briefly in the episode "Peter's Two Dads" when Peter says that he made it halfway through Failure to Launch which starred McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker.
In "The Former Life of Brian", Stewie repeatedly tries to insult him and tell him he is "just awful", but Mathew keeps agreeing with Stewie positively.
Jared, an alumnus of Little Clam Pre-School who appeared in "Peter-assment" is based on McConaughey's Dazed and Confused character.
McConaughey is mentioned in a weak future cutaway gag by Peter Griffin in "Back to the Pilot".
McConaughey is voiced by Seth Green.
