- The title of the episode is a reference to the song "No Diggity" by Blackstreet.[1]
- Peter calls out "Natalee Holloway!" for prom queen; this was a young woman who disappeared on a high school graduation trip to Aruba in 2005 and was never found.[2]
- Quagmire tries to describe Courtney's mom as "thing hanging on the wall behind you" and "word on the bottom of your coffee cup", referring to Keyser Söze and the film The Usual Suspects, in which a detective realizes that his criminal has been making up a character based on items pinned to a bulletin board and on the bottom of his coffee cup.
- Quagmire would also describe the other gymnastics moms as "the usual suspects."
- The firefighter and Smitty's former fiance staring uncomfortably parodies the end of The Graduate.[3]
- Peter closes out the episode in the style of Seinfeld with a stand-up comedy routine.
