George Orson Welles (May 6, 1915 – October 10, 1985) was an American actor, director, writer, and producer who worked in theater, radio, and film. His notable works include the 1937 theater production of Caesar, the 1938 radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds and the film Citizen Kane.
