Patrick McCloskey is Joe's recurring rival in the annual Pumpkin Contest.
In "Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Cheater", Patrick shows up to taunt Joe for repeatedly coming in second place, but is ultimately beaten by Joe's 307-pound entry. Ultimately, he discovers that Peter was inflating the pumpkin's weight by hiding inside of it, but it's soon revealed that all of the entrants had used the same tactic. Patrick admits that he's won every year due to his fat son hiding inside his pumpkins and drives away, demoralized.
