Portland was one of Joe Swanson's new friends in "Believe It or Not, Joe's Walking on Air", along with Parker and Quentin. He is Cleveland Brown's replacement and counterpart, after Brown was deemed too much of a weakling to be his friend now that Swanson had working legs again. Portland enjoys exercising and the Dave Matthews Band. It is assumed Portland and Joe broke off their friendship after Joe became paralyzed again. Portland's name, like Cleveland's, comes from an American city.
