"Rock Lobster" is a 1978 recording, the first single released by the rock band The B-52s. A longer version appeared on the band's 1979 self-titled debut album, The B-52's.
It was performed by Peter Griffin on his guitar in "The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire" to help cheer up his friend Cleveland Brown after discovering his wife cheated on him with another friend.
Even though Peter is shown to be the only one playing the guitar, it's actually two six-string acoustic guitars in the verses, and two 12-string guitars in the chorus.
Peter sings a parody of this song in "Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q.", as "Iraq Lobster".
