Small Wonder is an American comedy science fiction sitcom that aired from September 7, 1985 to May 20, 1989. The show chronicles the family of a robotics engineer who creates a robot modeled after a human girl, then tries to pass it off as their adopted daughter.
Seth Green auditioned for the part of Jamie Lawson on the show as an 11 year old.[1]
When Peter and his friends visit the ’80s television convention in "Brian Goes Back to College", a booth for Small Wonder is seen in the background.
When Meg and Chris decide to return goods they stole from the residents at the Quahog Retirement Home in "The Heartbreak Dog", Chris extols the virtue of doing the right thing like the father on Small Wonder. As Ted Lawson, the "dad," powers off V.I.C.I. for the night, he has a long pause as he notices her slightly open mouth, looking around before turning off the lights and departing.
In order to get Kevin James back on network television in "The Return of the King (of Queens)", Chris pitches a show titled Big Wonder.
