Sunday Afternoon

A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte (1884-8) (Un dimanche après-midi à l'Ile de la Grande Jatte) is an oil painting by French Painter Georges Seurat (1859-1891).

This painting is featured in "The Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissou" as a direct homage to Ferris Bueller's Day Off as Stewie makes a list of things he wants to do before he dies of the cancer he believes he has. As part of his "bucket list," he visits the Chicago Museum of Art.

The painting is also seen in "V is for Mystery" when Stewie, as Sherlock Holmes, and Brian, as Dr. Watson, "photobomb" the painting at the Eiffel Tower. Later, when Lois, as the villianess Constance, leaps from the tower to her death, her crumpled body can be seen in the painting, to Georges' frustration.
