The theme to That Guy is a parody of the theme to That Girl, a situational comedy that ran on ABC from 1966 to 1971. It starred Marlo Thomas as Ann Marie an aspiring actress who had moved from her hometown of Brewster, New York to make it big in New York City. Ann had to take a number of offbeat "temp" jobs to support herself in between her various auditions and bit parts, though she nonetheless was able to afford a spacious Manhattan apartment as well as an extensive wardrobe of mod fashions.
Peter Griffin appears in costume as Ann Marie in the parody sequence "Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington".
Lyrics
Diamonds, Daisies, Snowflakes,
That Guy
Chestnuts, Rainbows, Springtime...
Is That Guy
He's tinsel on a tree...
He's everything that every Guy should be!
Sable, Popcorn, White Wine,
That Guy
Gingham, Bluebirds, Broadway...
Is That Guy
He's mine alone, but luckily for you...
If you find a Guy to love,
Only one Guy to love,
Then he'll be That Guy too...
That Guy!
