The Decemberists are an American indie folk rock band from Portland, Oregon. The band consists of Colin Meloy, Chris Funk, Jenny Conlee, Nate Query and John Moen.
In "Run, Chris, Run", Joe makes Peter aware that a reason that Cleveland seems to prefer to hang out with Jerome is because they are both black. Peter admits that people like to hang out with their own kind, like the audience at a Decemberists concert.
