Tobi is Bruce's African ancestor, who appeared in "Untitled Griffin Family History". He was being whipped for not saying his slave name by an English colonist, presumably his owner. He came to America with Nate Griffin, Ali Williams, Quagdingo, Joemama, and the African ancestors of Tom Tucker and Diane Simmons.
