Total is a breakfast cereal manufactured by General Mills.
In "North by North Quahog", Lois Griffin goes through a phase where she's only attracted to handsome men. Her husband Peter then worries that they may admit there's no excitement left in their marriage and they'll spend the rest of their lives talking about how much they both like Total.
Peter in "You May Now Kiss the...Uh...Guy Who Receives" has a problem with Moby Dick who wants Raisin Bran. However, Peter only has Total cereal. Peter offers to put raisins in the Total but Moby deems this as unacceptable.
It was also featured in an advertisement for Swank Milk in "Lois Kills Stewie" for a comparison.
