Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin (born 7 October 1952) is the President of Russia and former Prime Minister of Russia as well as chairman of United Russia and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union of Russia and Belarus. He became acting President on December 31, 1999, when president Boris Yeltsin surprisingly resigned. Putin then won the 2000 presidential election. In 2004, he was re-elected for a second term lasting until May 7, 2008. He was elected President of Russia again in 2012.
Due to constitutionally mandated term limits, Putin was ineligible to run for a third consecutive Presidential term. After the victory of his successor, Dmitry Medvedev, in the 2008 presidential elections, he was then nominated by the latter to be Russia's Prime Minister; Putin took the post on May 8, 2008.
Putin appears in "Spies Reminiscent of Us" when he tells Brian and Stewie Griffin, Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase that they must stop sleeper spy Mayor Adam West from carrying out his mission and causing embarrassment to Russia.
In "Petey IV", Putin visits Quahog after Peter discovers an alternate ending to Rocky IV in which Ivan Drago won the fight.
Putin takes credit for writing a gag in "Trump Guy".
In "Adult Education", Meg posts to Instagram that she enjoys eating beets in Russia but misses being able to enjoy cheeseburgers. This results in her getting darted by government agents who demand that she keeps the slightest bit of criticism toward Vladimir Putin to herself.
