War Machine, the alias of James "Rhodey" Rhodes, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Jim Rhodes first appeared in Iron Man #118. The War Machine armor is his signature armored battlesuit. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Rhodey had been originally introduced by Terrence Howard and the armored version by Don Cheadle.
